Summary:

heiress to a large shipping company fortune
Richard, a boring gentleman whom Anna is engaged to
Ewan MacLaughlin, a romantic,
hardworking, and handsome man of Scottish title who is also half English and has
inherited his father's title
Ewan and Anna meet in a bookstore over a book of Byron's poems. They instantly
have sparks. Ewan believes Anna could be the kind of woman he would wed. He
soon discovers that Richard, her fiancé, is his half brother - who will no
longer inherit the title since Ewan is the oldest son and now Duke of Brahm.
Richard is stuck up and hates Ewan. he plans with Anna's mother to discredit Ewan and his claim to the title. Hester and Emily, Ewan's
stepmother and half sister, are nice and want to accept Ewan into the family.
Anna is becoming more outspoken and more sure of herself in Ewan's presence,
beginning to dislike Richard and his mean ways. Eventually Richard starts plotting against
both Ewan and Anna.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This book is full of romantic suspense and adventure. It is a must
read for anyone who likes romantic historical fiction.
