A History of Arlington National Cemetery

On Wednesday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m., the Massillon Public Library invites the public to celebrate Veterans Day Eve with guest speaker Bryan Bowman as he presents “A History of Arlington National Cemetery” in the library Auditorium.

Bryan Bowman is the President and CEO of SAM (Serving Area Military) Center, the Director of Military and Veterans’ Affairs in the office of Congressman Anthony Gonzalez (16th-OH), and a retired Ohio Army National Guard soldier. Bowman will speak on the hidden history of Arlington National Cemetery and how it would transition from a place for paupers and slaves to a place of glory. He will explain how veterans and orphans made Arlington what it is today.

This event is co-sponsored by the Massillon Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

No registration or admission fee required; however, if you are able, please bring a non-perishable item or toiletry product to be donated to the SAM Center to assist local veterans in need.

All ages welcome!
