Beginning October 1 and running through May 27, children and teens (18 and under) are invited to stop by the Massillon Public Library for a free, healthy “Snack To Go” each day!
Did you know that more than 1 in 5 Ohio children live with hunger? The Massillon Public Library is partnering with the Children’s Hunger Alliance to help address hunger so that children and teens can be more empowered to grow, learn, and achieve. Shelf-stable foods such as milk and juice boxes, honey grahams, dried cranberries, Jack Links Meat Snacks Tender Bites, salsa, cheese, and sunflower seeds are provided in a take-home sleeve. To get your snack, enter the library at the Second Street ground level doors. Parents may pick up snacks for their children. All that is required is the child’s name.
Mondays and Tuesdays between 2:30 and 6:45 p.m.
Wednesdays through Fridays between 2:30 and 4:45 p.m.
Saturdays between 11:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
The Children’s Hunger Alliance is a 501(c)(3) organization and sponsor of the USDA’s child nutrition programs, administered by the Ohio Department of Education. For more information about this free program, contact Laura Klein at 330-832-9831, x319.
