As a part of The Big Read, the Massillon Public Library invites the public to attend a Caregiver Forum on Tuesday, July 21, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
This online discussion forum will be focused towards individuals caring for an aging parent, or who are worried about what they might face as that stage of life approaches. Learn from experts and share stories and concerns with attorney and Faith in Action Executive Director Angela Tucker-Cooper and financial planner Marshall Weinberg. They will share some important information you need to know in dealing with legal and financial matters. They will be joined in a panel discussion with other adult children who have recently or are currently caring for aging parents. The discussion will be moderated by Bob Sanderson, retired President of the Massillon WestStark Chamber of Commerce. Bring your questions and advice, laughter and tears, to share with others, or just listen and know you are not alone.
Registration for this program closed on July 17. For more information, please contact Sherie Brown at 330-832-9831, x314.
The Big Read is a community reading program focused on a single book. This National Endowment for the Arts initiative, in partnership with Arts Midwest, supports community reading programs across the country. Massillon Museum and its amazing community partners, including the Massillon Public Library, create
innovative and critical programs highlighting the book themes, and exposing participants to new genres and ideas. The selected book is offered to the community for free so that many can participate. This year’s book selection is Can’t We Talk About Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast.
