Genealogy & Local History

The Massillon Public Library offers assistance and resources to those interested in local history and genealogy. We have trained staff who can help guide you in your searches. The library provides many databases for patrons to access inside our building or in the comfort of your own home. All that is required is a Massillon Public Library card, which is free of charge and open to local and non-local residents.

Genealogy & Local History Resources
We have collected Internet sites and library resources to help you begin researching your family history. Please note: Some of these resources are only available from inside the library.

If you need assistance with your research, consider signing up for a free, 90-minute one-on-one session with our Local History and Genealogy Specialist: Book a Genealogist

Any other requests, including obituaries, can be submitted here: Genealogy & Local History Requests
