Do you have a spooky tale to tell? Do your stanzas send shivers down the spines of spooky skeletons? Then submit a poem to our Halloween Hunter’s Moon Poetry Contest!
Teens and adults can submit up to 3 original poems to be judged by a panel of local poets and library staff. The deadline is Oct. 14. Prizes will be awarded Oct. 28 at the Poetry Read-In at 6:30pm.
Writings submitted to the contest must be original work. There is a limit of three poems per entrant.
The contest is open to those in Grades 7 through 12 and adults (over age 18).
Deadline is October 14 by library closing time in person OR by 11:59 p.m. if submitting online.
Pieces must be family-friendly.
Writings must be submitted with an entry form (signed by a parent or guardian if under 18 years of age) in person OR submitted online beginning September 15.
