Special Session of Simply Stories

The Massillon Public Library Children’s Department invites families to “Simply Stories: Ready to Read Equals Ready to Succeed!” on Monday, October 4, at 6:30 p.m., at the Children’s Room Fireplace. Join us for this special session of our weekly Simply Stories story time as we explore books about our favorite topic…BOOKS! How can small children get ready to read? Why is it important? How does a love of reading help the world? Find out with some stories, handouts for parents, and enjoy the take-home snack!

Simply Stories story time is designed to emphasize books and the arts of reading and storytelling. These sessions will also inspire an appreciation for the library’s wonderful collection of children’s books. Children are welcome to bring a friend and enjoy listening to stories in front of the cozy Children’s Room fireplace! All ages are welcome, but the interest level may be from ages 3-8. Note: Simply Stories runs continuously throughout the year with no breaks. No registration required!

All story times at the Massillon Public Library reflect the early literacy initiative, Every Child Ready to Read, offering parents many fun and useful suggestions to help their children gain early skills that lead to reading. All children attending these free programs must be accompanied by an adult.
